In no country in the world do women enjoy the same rights or opportunities as men. Every day women and girls face discrimination, poverty and violence just because they are women. Womankind Worldwide works in solidarity with women’s movements around the world to bring about lasting change in women’s lives.

Women’s rights organizations and movements provide direct support for women and girls, from a safe place to escape violence or information about their rights to leadership training or funding to start their own business.

They also work to change laws and policies which discriminate against women and girls, and challenge the damaging attitudes and stereotypes at the root of inequality.

Strengthening women’s rights movements

Womankind believes in the power of women to change their own lives. When women join together in movements, they change laws, create lasting shifts of power, challenge harmful traditions and make sure all women’s voices are heard.

We take action to strengthen and support women’s rights organizations and movements, so they can lobby harder, grow taller and transform the lives of women. We bring our passion and energy alongside practical support, including tools, technologies and programme expertise. Through partnerships, we focus on transformational change and feminist activism at all levels, from the individual and community to national parliaments and the United Nations.
