Rap, hip-hop and independent filmmakers aren’t a common sight at the United Nations, but many artists were on site for the International Day of Tolerance on November 16, 2018 to send a message about the power of diversity over hate.

Maha’s music video uses Arabic hip-hop to showcase Sudan and its culture to connect people and fight xenophobia. She is one of YouTube’s Creators of Change, that spotlights inspirational filmmakers and artists using YouTube to bridge divides and tackle tough issues. She was at the United Nations to raise awareness on combating prejudice, racism, and extremism.
